For years, the running joke among Inspirada residents has been that the community was built faster than anyone remembered to build a grocery store. With roughly 5,875 people living in the neighborhood and only an Albertsons within easy reach, the retail math has been off since the first phase of homes went in. That gap is now closing on a public timeline, and the map of daily errands in Inspirada in mid-2026 already looks different than it did last summer.
This is not a "coming soon" post. Ground has broken, ribbons have been cut, and a few of the changes are already open to walk into.
The retail gap, finally quantified
The clearest sign that Inspirada's commercial catch-up is real came on February 26, 2026, when Sansone Companies held a ceremonial groundbreaking for Centurion, a 24-acre horizontal mixed-use development at the intersection of Via Centro and Via Inspirada. The head of development at the firm was direct about the reason. Inspirada is packed with housing tracts, but Sansone indicated that retail services are "kind of lacking" in the area. There appears to be only one supermarket, an Albertsons, in the area.

Current tenants include Sprouts, a tavern, and other food and service businesses, including a nail salon and wellness center. The land itself was acquired for about $15.1 million in June 2020, and the Henderson City Council approved project plans in 2024, so this is not a speculative rendering. It is a project moving through construction now.
For a resident, the practical read is simple. A second full-service grocery within Inspirada, plus a walkable cluster of food and service tenants, changes the default answer to "where should we grab something for dinner" from "drive to Anthem Highlands" to "walk or drive five minutes."
The bigger neighbor going up next door
The Centurion site is not sitting on an island. The development sits directly adjacent to the future 63-acre Inspirada Station by Station Casinos. The resort's approved footprint gives a sense of what will eventually anchor the southwest corner of the community: a 58,000-square-foot gaming area, a 6,670-square-foot banquet space, an 8,400-square-foot sportsbook, 201 hotel rooms, three specialty restaurants, an eight-box food hall, four bars, a 12-lane bowling alley, a six-box movie theater, and a surface parking lot with 1,708 spaces.
Longer term, the master plan for the site is larger still. It would be built in three stages, encompassing 900,000 square feet in total, 600 hotel rooms, four restaurants, a food hall, bowling alley, a movie theater, banquet halls and more, according to documents submitted to Henderson.
None of this arrives in 2026. Casino executives said they planned to break ground in early 2025 but wouldn't finish construction until around 2029. For a current resident, the useful thing to know is that Centurion is the near-term retail relief and Inspirada Station is the long-term entertainment anchor. Two different clocks, one intersection.
Sentiero Park is already open
While Centurion is a year away from opening its first tenant, the community picked up a new park last fall that has quietly become part of weekend routines. Sentiero Park at 2716 Via Napoli celebrated its grand opening on Monday, September 22, adding to Inspirada's existing set of five amenity parks. If you have not walked over yet, it sits on the north side of the community and rounds out the trail-and-park network that residents already move through daily.
For families with kids at Pinecrest Academy Inspirada, the new park slots easily into the after-school loop. The K-8 charter continues to draw families based on its academic record. It continues to get U.S. News School badges for excellence and was the first charter school in the state to obtain the coveted National Blue Ribbon Award for Exemplary High Performance in 2021.
Where residents are eating in the meantime
Until Centurion's tenants open their doors, the on-community food scene runs through a small set of established spots that reward knowing what each one does well.
Distill Inspirada at 2293 Via Inspirada is the neighborhood's go-to sports bar and casual dinner spot. It runs 24 hours and leans into casual American food with a full happy hour. The menu is broad enough that it works for a weeknight family dinner and a late Sunday game equally well.
Gabi Boutique Donut and Pastry is the community's most interesting food discovery, and one most newer residents have not tried yet. The shop specializes in brioche donuts with flavors like French Apple Pie and Crème Brulee, a full menu of mochi donuts, and their signature Croffles, which are croissant waffles in flavors like maple bacon. It is the kind of place worth taking out-of-town guests to before they assume Henderson is all chain bakeries.
Breakfast Junkies rounds out the weekend routine. The menu runs from breakfast classics like Biscuits and Gravy and Chicken and Waffles to twists like their Broke Da Mouth Grindz, and it is one of the few sit-down breakfast options inside the community's immediate footprint.
Step slightly outside the Inspirada boundary and the options open up. Rustic House, Lexie's Bistro, Eureka! Henderson, and Block 9 Thai Street Eats are all within a short drive, per Yelp's current neighborhood ranking. The point is not that Inspirada has arrived as a dining destination. It is that the two-restaurant reality of a few years ago has quietly become a ten-restaurant one, and Centurion's tenants will push that further by year-end.
Two things to actually watch in the next six months
Everything above is either already open or under construction with a public schedule. If you live in Inspirada and want to track the changes that will most affect daily life, these are the two dates worth marking:
- Sprouts opening at Centurion, targeted for late 2026. This is the single biggest change to the community's grocery convenience since the original Albertsons anchored the area. Watch the Via Centro and Via Inspirada intersection for tenant signage as the retail buildings top out.
- The West Henderson Fieldhouse, opening fall 2026. The $70 million sports and entertainment complex is scheduled to open with 8 full-size courts and 4,000-person capacity, and will accommodate basketball, volleyball, wrestling, gymnastics, and multi-sport events including regional tournaments, professional competitions, youth sports leagues, and community programming. For families with kids in club sports, this changes the drive calculus for weekend tournaments significantly.
Neither of these is speculative. Both have construction underway and financing committed, and both sit within a short drive of Inspirada's residential core.
The takeaway for people who already live here
The story of Inspirada in 2026 is not that the community is being "discovered." It is that the retail and amenity plan the original master plan promised is finally arriving on a public schedule, in named projects, with named tenants and dated ribbons. Sentiero Park is open. Centurion's retail is under construction. Sprouts is a signed tenant. Inspirada Station is a longer wait. The gap between "houses first, everything else later" and "everything else" has a finish line now.
